I hope this letter finds everyone in good health and enjoying the beginning of the school year. We are finishing the process of scheduling lessons for the Fall of 2024. Please note on your calendars that lessons begin the week of August 25th. We start the week before Labor Day.

Private lesson times

We have scheduled most of our students taking private lessons this fall. We still have to schedule a few pieces to the puzzle we call our calendar. We will be continuing to reach out to any students not yet on the calendar to get them scheduled as soon as possible.

Group lessons

All students in Group lessons should have received a lesson time. I will be sending an email to all students enrolled in group classes to confirm their class time and start date.

Fees and Information

Please check out our web site at lawrencepiano.com for information regarding the school year calendar, lesson fees and the missed lesson policy.

September Invoices: The first week of September, I will send an invoice for the month of September which includes the regular September monthly lesson fees and also includes the Library/Registration fees.

Any lessons taken between August 25th and August 31st are part of the September billing.

I will send a separate email before I send the September invoices that will detail our different methods of payment that we accept.

Regular Monthly Billing: Each month I will email an invoice. The invoice will contain the current monthly lesson fees as well as any credit or balance due from previous months. We are returning to our level monthly billing policy for the school year. Students will be billed the same amount each month.

Library/Registration Fees: The invoice for the month of September will include a $30 per year (or $55 per family of two or more students) Library/Registration fee. Your September fees will either be $30 or $55 higher than your regular monthly fees. Online scheduling and communication

We have now been using the online scheduling program “My Music Staff” for 9 years. I have been very happy with the program for three reasons that come immediately to mind.

• We are now able to offer both ACH bank transfers and credit card transactions as methods of payment.
• Parents and students are able to log-in to cancel and/or schedule make up lessons online.
• Parents and students are able to go online and sign-up for practice recital and recital times.

If you have not received the log-in email that allows you to re-set your password and login please let me know. I will send that to you as soon as I am notified.

I am very excited about the upcoming school year, as I begin my 44th year of teaching piano. I look forward to the challenges and evolution of teaching style that keep piano instruction fresh and invigorating for both student and teacher. I feel very lucky to be able to interact with your children on a weekly basis and look forward to the coming school year.
