Laura King

Laura King has been playing piano since 1997. After just one year of lessons, she participated in the Garden City Piano Festival, where some of the area's best emerging pianists are invited to perform. She was a scholarship student at the University of Kansas and graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance.

Mrs. King first accompanied a choir in fifth grade, and has been accompanying in the Lawrence Public Schools for ten years. She began teaching with the Lawrence Piano Studio in 2009, and has taught both private and group lessons.

Laura is led by a belief that it's important that students are encouraged to pursue their potential while also retaining the love of music that brought them to piano in the first place.
