Lesson Pricing & Fees — 2025–2026
The fees listed below are in effect for the 2025–2026 school year.
Group Lessons — Eric Sakumura & Assistants
- 1 hour group lesson — $84.00/month
- ½ hour group lesson — $45.00/month
Private Lessons — Eric Sakumura
- ½ hour lesson weekly — $120.00/month
Private Lessons — Jen Hosler, Laura King, John Eldridge, Gina Lorenz
- ½ hour lesson weekly — $116.00/month
Family Discount
There is a $20/month discount for each additional family member ($10/month for ½-hour classes).
You will be emailed monthly statements containing lesson fees and any credits or balance due from previous months. We also email a monthly newsletter with lesson and recital information.

Music Library / Registration Fee
$30.00 per student / $55.00 per family — charged once per year.
For the past several years we have used a music library at the piano studio to provide our students with method books, duet books and sight reading books. We have found this useful because we are able to use a number of different methods, each stressing different types of reading skills. It also greatly reduces the number of books a student needs to purchase.
Note: The library fee does not include solo material that the student may order through their teacher.

What is included in the monthly lesson charge?
All of the following are included in the monthly lesson charge and annual library fee:
- Notebooks, staff paper, and worksheets for theory and improvisation
- Two practice recitals for the Winter and Spring recitals
- Winter and Spring recitals
- Music (see information above about the annual music library fee)
Missed Lessons
If you must miss a lesson, please give us as much advance notice as possible.
For Group Lessons
- We will try to find an opening in another class at the same level but at a different time during the week.
- We will mail out the lesson assignment sheet and music for the week the student missed.
For Private Lessons
- We will try to schedule a make-up lesson later in the week or a different week.
- Only two lessons can be made up per semester.
Cancellations and Fee Adjustments
We reserve the right to cancel one lesson per year with no fee adjustment if weather conditions will not permit safe travel.
