May 2025 Newsletter
Spring recitals at the Lawrence Arts Center, summer lesson information, fall scheduling details, and a call for reception cookies!
Greetings!
May Recitals
2nd Practice Recitals: The 2nd practice recitals will be at the Lawrence Arts Center. These practice recitals will be in the Lower Lobby. I will send a reminder email with your 2nd practice recital date and time. 2nd practice recitals will be held May 6-8.
Spring Recitals: The Spring Recitals are all scheduled for May 19th-May 22nd in the Main Theater at the Lawrence Arts Center. These recitals are free and open to the public. Friends and family are encouraged to attend.
We will be offering a Zoom link for anyone that would like to view the recital remotely. I will send the Zoom invitations to each student’s parents the week of May 12th. Parents may then forward the invitation to friends and family.
We will be having a reception following this year’s recitals. The reception will be held in the Lower Lobby immediately following the Spring Recital.
Cookies!
If you would like to bring cookies for the reception following the Spring Recital please let me know. I usually ask that people bring 2-3 dozen cookies. You can just drop them off when you arrive at the recital. We will have serving plates to put them on.
Summer Lessons: Begin June 2nd
During the summer months we only teach private lessons. Students can take as many or as few lessons as they would like. Since we bill by the lesson you will only be charged for the lessons you receive. We will also be offering our week-long beginning piano workshops for small groups. Please refer to my Summer and Fall enrollment email for further details on how to sign-up. Please let me know if you would like me to re-send the enrollment email.
Fall Lessons
We will resume our school year lessons the week of August 24th. We will be offering both private and group lessons. We will continue to offer on-line lessons as an alternative.
Students not playing in the Spring Recital
Any students not playing in the recital the week of May 19th will have a lesson the week of May 19th. Your teacher may need to re-schedule your lesson that week if they have a conflict with their scheduled recital time.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
