Spring Recital Overview
All students will have the opportunity to perform in a recital at the Lawrence Arts Center scheduled for May 18th-21st.
Signing up for recital times
There will be an email in the second week of April with the practice recital and recital times for your teacher. Parents can log in to My Music Staff and register for practice recitals and the Spring Recital from the calendar. The sign-up email will include detailed instructions on how to register for recitals.
Please choose recital times, even if you are not sure of your schedule the week of the recitals. If a conflict arises after you choose a recital time, please call or e-mail me to make changes.

Spring Recital (Group and Private)
All the Spring Recitals will be held May 18th – May 21st in the main theater at the Lawrence Arts Center, 940 New Hampshire. The Spring Recital time(s) for your teacher will be listed on your Spring Recital sign-up email.
If none of the recital times work for your schedule, please let me know. We try to keep students scheduled with their teachers, but there are other recital times available.
The Lawrence Arts Center will stream the recitals, and we will share the link with you when they send it to us. This will allow family or friends, either in town or out of town, to attend the recital remotely.
We will have a reception following the Spring Recitals in the lower lobby at the Lawrence Arts Center.
Students not participating in the Spring Recital
Any student not playing in the Spring Recital will have a private lesson the week of May 18th. Your teacher may have to re-schedule the lesson time if it conflicts with their scheduled recitals at the Lawrence Arts Center.

Summer Lessons
Summer lessons begin on June 1st. We will be e-mailing information about Summer Lessons and Fall 2026 enrollment in April. During the summer we teach daytime and evening private piano, and we offer week-long group Beginning Piano Workshops. If you have any questions concerning the summer schedule, please give me a call or contact me by email.
Practice Tips: Spring Recital
- Make up a story to go along with each piece. This helps the piece come alive and gives your brain something to stay engaged with during the performance.
- Highlight the dynamic markings and follow them each time you play the piece. Dynamics are very important to keep the piece interesting for both the performer and the audience.
